8th Continent Soymilk Taste of Life Tour- Berkeley Musicfest!

After the visit to UC Berkeley, I was super pumped to get out and see more of the art and outgoing people that I never knew Berkeley was SO FULL OF!

At my hotel, I picked up a little pamphlet talking about Downtown Berkeley Musicfest. Not only was it going on that night, but the venues were walking distance from my hotel! Ummm- can you say SCORE! No driving, and no paying for cab rides or the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit).

So at about 9:00 PM, I got to hook up with one of my favorite people from San Francisco. She BARTed over and we hit the first venue- Jupiter. The patio outback housed beautiful lighting, foliage and an awesome band! We stood around (no seats were available by that time) and drank a brew. With our first brew in hand- we got up right in front of the stage and started shaking our groove thangs. Because honestly- when there is fantastic music, and you are not shaking something, I just view that as a missed opportunity. There was no one else dancing at the time… so we were most certainly “those girls”. But who cares? That is one of the things traveling is all about! leave your worries behind- and shake something!!!
