I remember stopping at the House on the Rock on our way home from one family vacation to Wisconsin Dells back when I was younger. I remember it being pretty freaky, and my dad wanted to look at everything in painful detail, so it took forever to get through the whole thing. It felt like we'd never get out of there.

Funny thing though, as an adult, I sort of want to go back and check it out again. Maybe it's because I want my own kids to experience some of the things that I saw as a kid. Maybe I just want to torture them. Anyway, sounds like you had a good time while you were in the area.
