My Husband and our Little Charlie

Father’s Day is this Sunday and I have no idea what to do for my husband. This year was my first mother’s day and now his first father’s day so it should be a big deal right? Well, with money being tight this year I am wondering what I can do instead of buying him a gift. How do I make this a wonderful first father’s day that he will remember?
I think it’s all about spending time doing the opposite of the things that we have had to do recently around the house like paint crown and base molding, patch dings in the walls and clean out the garage. I’m thinking a father’s day that does not include a trip to home depot and the words “caulking gun” would be a great start. Fortunately for us, we live in an area with great weather right now and knowing how much my hubby loves the outdoors I’m thinking a trip to the park or the beach with our one year old son. This will be a day to get out of the house and simply be together—what dad wouldn’t love this right?
